Everything at the top

One glance. One hover.

The island stays small until you need it, then opens into exactly the tool you were reaching for.

Music

Your music, with the words.

See what is playing from Spotify, your browser or any media app. The collapsed island sings along with karaoke lyrics, and the full player shows every line next to the controls.

  • Play, pause, skip, scrub, shuffle and repeat
  • Click any lyric line to jump to that moment
  • Lyrics widget with a background drawn from your album art
  • Pin the lyrics to keep them on screen
Pinned lyrics widget. Click the pin to unpin it and see the rest of the widgets.
Notifications

Notifications that do not get in the way.

Windows notifications appear as a compact popup in the island. Hover to read the whole message, click to open the app, and find recent ones in the built-in notification panel.

  • Messages from the same chat stack together
  • Swipe to dismiss in the panel
  • Microphone and camera in-use indicators
Open a conversation with the arrow, or drag a card sideways to dismiss it.
Clipboard and files

Copy, park, drag, done.

Your clipboard history lives inside the island: text, links, images and files. Drag an entry straight into Discord, Explorer or Paint. Need a file in two places? Drop it on the file tray and pick it up later.

  • Pin entries you use often
  • Drag images and files out to other apps
  • Temporary file shelf for drag and drop
Hover an entry to preview it. Pin, delete, or close the side panel.
Widgets

Twenty widgets. Your layout.

Weather, calendar with your next event, to-do list, notes, timers, Pomodoro, world clock, audio output switcher, Control Center and live system graphs. Arrange them as a carousel, a grid, or a carousel grid where each slot holds several widgets.

  • Carousel, grid and carousel grid layouts
  • Live previews in Settings
  • Widgets only refresh while they are visible
Everything here works: play, seek, change the month, switch tabs in the toolbar, or drop a file from your PC onto the island to put it in the tray.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What is Notchify?

Notchify is a Windows app that adds a Dynamic Island-style control center to the top of your screen. It shows what is playing with synced lyrics, your notifications, clipboard history, a file tray, widgets and quick system actions, and expands when you hover over it.

Is Notchify for Mac?

No. Notchify (by Kingpindev) runs only on Windows and is available from the Microsoft Store. There are unrelated macOS apps that also use the name Notchify. If an article or AI answer describes Notchify as a Mac or MacBook notch app, it is talking about a different product. More about the name.

Which versions of Windows are supported?

Windows 11 and Windows 10 version 1809 or later, on any PC. You do not need a laptop with a notch or a special display.

Is Notchify free?

Notchify is a paid app on the Microsoft Store with a free trial, so you can try every feature before buying. See the Store page for the price in your region.

Will it slow down my PC?

Notchify is a native Windows app, not a web app in a wrapper. It renders with the GPU, slows its frame rate down when nothing is moving, and only refreshes widgets while they are on screen. You can also choose the frame rate or turn GPU rendering off on very old hardware.

Which music apps work with it?

Any player that shows up in the Windows media controls, such as Spotify, Apple Music, media players and music or video sites in your browser. Synced lyrics are available for many songs.

Does Notchify collect my data?

No. There is no account, no ads and no analytics. Notchify only goes online to fetch things you turned on: weather for your area, lyrics for the song that is playing, and icons for website shortcuts. Logs stay on your PC. Read the privacy policy.

Does it work with fullscreen games and multiple monitors?

Yes. By default the island hides over fullscreen games and videos, and you can choose to keep it visible. You can pick which monitor it lives on, or let it follow your cursor across screens.

Can I customize how it looks?

Yes. Choose between Notch and Island styles, eight screen positions (top, bottom, left or right edge, or any corner), 14 built-in themes or your own colors, island size, blur, animations, frame rate up to 240 Hz, and a carousel, grid or carousel grid layout for widgets.

Bring the island to your desktop.

Get Notchify from the Microsoft Store. A free trial is available, so you can try it first.
